Celebs SIMulate our Mundane Lives

It’s hard to imagine that celebrities take time out to play Sims Social, where they chat up neighbors, build additions and go on quests. Maybe it’s how they connect with the little people. We’re sure your news feed on Facebook has been overrun with Sims Social notifications. The newest game on the network is already reporting 4.6 million people playing it daily, according to AppData, a traffic tracking service.

Among those signing on is R&B singer Amerie.

She posted to Kotaku: “I am addicted to The Sims. I live out a virtual life online. I think it’s seriously cool, but I guess it’s kind of dorky,” she said. “I’ve got Kelly Rowland into it too, and now we hook up in the game. Beyonce tried to join us, but she wasn’t into it.”

Celeb Sims

For pregnant Beyonce, it might be the best thing she’ll never have, but her sim is present regardless of her playing. As if life is imitating game, the official Facebook page of The Sims Social posted four familiar faces created from their sims avatar creator baring the names of Elvis PlumBob, Beyonsim, Marisim Monroe and Lady Sim-Sim.

The newest addition to the Sims family doesn’t stand out from the crowd. It’s taken the best elements of social games like Farmville and Mafia Wars to send you on missions and force you to create relationships and put it in an easy to play Sims format.

So grab a sim, decorate your miniature house and come on an adventure with Amerie and over 4 million others.
